Just spotted the Christmas pud in the logo Very Happy Planning to come along this sunday. I'm a bit off the pace so will be opting for the social group. Might have been the one-a-day mince pie policy. santa

Rather than a faster group on the same ride I'm thinking maybe set off the same time but take a group on a slight extension via Easter Compton and catch up with you sometime after Olveston (probably nearer Berkeley...)?

My plan was That i would take the slower group and go straight up the moors to Slimbridge whilst some really nice young man would take the others on the proposed route thus meeting at the same time

But how many miles are you intending with the slow group? I'm happy enough with a fast start then a slower paced main ride but would want to do around 50 miles to make it worth the hassle of getting changed into cycling gear :p

Main route is 47 ish if you don't get lost:p
The slower route will not be an awful lot less but will be flatter so should arrive at Slimbridge more or less together then all poddle back together via the moors.etc

Punctured on way to meet point and on inspection the tyre is cut up quite badly so having to call it a day just 2.5miles in. Have a good ride, gutted as I was really looking forward to this one. Lets hope Santa brings some new tyres :-)

Cheers John, but I was so frustrated this morning I placed an order for the GP 4Seasons. Fingers crossed for more luck now.

I have an old spare in the van most weeks so if that happens again give me a ring and I can pop out quick and collect you and we can change before the off.
