As you are no doubt aware it's the cake ride next week.
As per normal it will be a slowish relaxed ride ................BUT! If it goes to plan what I thought we could have a go at is to get to Hill early then those that want can shoot of and do the "Cake loop". You can either have a crack on your own or try with a couple of mates to pace each other to see how much quicker you are in a small group. THIS IS NOT COMPULSORY I as per normal will ride at my slow steady pace stopping for a fag halfway round so dont feel that you have to do it but remember first one back gets the pick of the cake!
For those unfamiliar with the cake loop see here. loop
Route (well possibly anyway) http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3437163

Some one suggested we have a team time trial where we all put our names into a hat then pick four out for each team but what happens if I get stuck with Alex Martin and Robin? I am not having them slow me down!

Having just scoffed roughly 8 fairy cakes , I'm finding the thought of the cake ride slightly less alluring that might otherwise be the case at this time silent

I should be there, although if the ladies are already serving when we first arrive I'm not sure I have the willpower to do a cake loop before indulging...

It's about 22 miles to the Hall first time around so hopefully about 11.40 ish. Then we have the loop for those that want it which is about 30 minutes.
