Been trying to sort this out for a while. It's a trip across to the Forest of Dean. It's a bit difficult to do as one way involves MEGA climbing the other is main road and clmbing.
A couple of us tried out the main road bit the other day and it's not to bad.
We take the main road past the racecourse and Tintern Abbey and continue along the Wye valley. We then go over the river and climb into St Brivals. Then across the forest to Parkend to the cafe we used on our Bank holiday trip around the river. We then double back to St Brivals and back to Chepstow over the old bridge and back home.
There is a fair bit of climbing but nothing worse than what we have done before.

The reference to the bears can be read here

Well I hope that weather report is correct as the met office one looks a bit rubbish, however I am now sporting the worlds smallest mudguard  Very Happy until my winter bike arrives next Saturday.
