Next Sunday is the Pavlova cake run.
I am out on Le tour so Ton Ton Paul is going to shepherd you round.
I have a feeling Gary is away as well so if anyone wants to do a faster harder route then fell free.
Route for Cake ride as usual,
http://ridewithgps.com/routes/4353054

More details
http://nbcc.forumsmotion.com/t2558-may-4th-cake-ride
or here
http://nbcc.forumsmotion.com/t2488-first-official-pavlova-ride-of-the-year

Just as a heads up the week after that ie July 13th will be a Bast**d, up to Monmouth and into Parkend for cake!
Well with all these flat routes you are all getting soft. Not one KOM last Sunday!

"Shepherding" means sitting on the back, going as easy as you like. This is the cake ride so nobody will be too slow.

Spoke to Gary today and I believe he is around for this and is happy to look after a faster group, which should keep everyone happy. Over to you Gary...

That's more "leading on" than leading out....

True, the one in the middle looks like he's about to rob a post office........ Who ever heard of a white balaclava?

On a slightly more serious note (I didn't look at the pics - honest) I am intending to get a few extra miles in after the Pavlova on Sunday - possibly making up to 80-100, weather permitting. If anybody fancies clocking up a few extra, I 'd love the company. It will be at my usual (lack of) speed 13-15mph. No particular route in mind and any suggestions very welcome :-)

Ah shame I am away or I would of joined you.
Might be worth going on up to Gloucester and back to Chepstow on the other side of the river and then back over bridge.

I would love to join you in your quest to rack up the miles. Are you still open to route suggestions?

I wont be doing an alternative ride to the cake fest however, on our return to Bradley Stoke, Kate and I will be heading off to Cheddar to help her prepare for her Ride London event and anyone who fancies putting a few more miles under their saddle is very welcome to join us.

The route we plan on taking is http://ridewithgps.com/routes/5222253
