I'm happy to ride slower of course, just wanted to make sure there'd be no chance of getting left behind as I would be lost lol

Sorry for all the questions (and partial digging myself into holes!) I am basically just wondering about what time we'd expect to be back please?
My wife is being great giving me the time to start up these weekend rides (she already said I was obsessed with my bike BEFORE I joined!) but right now there is some serious personal matters going on ... so just time planning would help, thanks

After my little spill at @Bristol which ended up with a £120 repair/upgrade bill, I'm back. The bruises have faded the rear derailleur and its hanger have been replaced so I'll be seeing you are Tesco at 9.

Enjoyed the ride, thanks for letting me tag along. Took the A466 back to Chepstow from Tintern (time limited...) and got home at just over 50 miles.

(I prefer long sleeves! Smile )

Hey Chris. Nice to meet you. Did the same route back as you, Tarmac was awful ! Stop at Tintern really seized me up and pretty much blew up all the way back. More sleep less drinks on Saturday nights ! Feel free to join us again, just slow down a bit ... although The Whippet climbs hills like you !!

What's with the photo as well, looks like an old print from the 70's ?

The road surface is poor in some places plus on those type of roads you get pushed to the curb by the faster traffic so you have to run the the gravel/debris. If time had allowed a climb to Devauden and back on the B4293 would have been better. The B4293 to Monmouth and a parallel road the B4235 are actually really good with plenty of scope for routes on the lanes inbetween.

Really enjoying climbing at the moment, but do need to slow down a bit. Team TTing into Tintern probably was not the best idea!
