I have 10 speed, Shimano 105 er the older type I think 5600 - know I bought the bike about 13 months ago, don't think the 5700 was quite out then .. at least not on the 2010 Cannondale CAAD9 I have ..

Had to replace the chain recently, think I got the newer chain version as they were out of the older (cheaper) ones, so have the Shimano 10 speed chain with the cut outs in the links (to save weight, yeah right!)

That was gert lush ride.Even took in an unplanned pub stop to top up water bottles. yea well that was the excuse anyway.
I havent a clue how far we went as the gps was throwing a wobbly.
Eventful ride Vickster fell off up Little sodbury hill we got split up and then regrouped a bit futher down the road and then poor old Mark who was doing so well went and did his ankle in so I had to go and get the van and play recovery vehicles.I'm glad you enjoyed it Robin Like you I am a quiet shy retiring type of person but some times I come out of my shell!
Any one know how far we did so I can add to my cycling log.
Next week PAVLOVA ride late start ie 12.00 noon.
see new post that I will do later.

Fabulous ride - Cheers one and all for a great day - legs are now shot to
pieces though - 8 weeks off the bike takes it's toll !!!

@Mark ..... foot alignment.

Apart from spending some serious wedge and getting a full professional
fit done ....

For cleat wedges ....
http://www.bikefittingtools.com/index.php?page=bfs-cleat-wedges-bulk-40-loose

For supportive insoles and forefoot wedges ....
http://www.noahsark.co.uk/mens-bike-clothing-high-performance-footbeds-c-145_5_264.html?sessid=93lbod5re35ntvhv2ljfg9qe43

And finally .... pedals ....
to provide a larger platform and more stability ...

Great ride all. My ankle is feeling better now. Thanks to John for the support and to Scott for the lift! I'll look into those websites and see if I can get a better fitting and or support which should do the trick. See you all for cakes next weekend.

You're more than welcome Mark - I'd go for the pedals myself as
a starting point :-)

Ah yes ... cake :-)))

I've recently got some of those single sided touring pedals and it has made a big difference to my ride. It might be coincidence, but my knee problem has gone too!
