Great ride today guys and a very impressive turnout. It's amazing how much sweeter cheesecake tastes after two hours of riding!

John, thanks for the advice on the pedals as they worked a dream today and as result I appeared to go up Morton Road a bit quicker this week.

See you all next Sunday.

this may be the wrong forum to post this in, but i can't remember who i was talking to yesterday who was looking for Schwalbe Ultremo 25c tires (apparently quite rare)

I think it was the gent with the Look 6-9-something-or-another!

have a look here
http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/TYSCHULTR1/schwalbe-ultremo-r1-folding-tyre

Hi all, It’s been a long time since I came out on a ride with the club, but I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the cake run on Sunday, it was great to see so many new friendly faces, (new to me anyway), and the lure of cake gave me a whole new sense of purpose to go for the ride! I look forward to the next one, not too soon though; I have to work off the surplus calories from that one, Rolling Eyes

The later start time fitted in well as it encouraged me to ride over from Warmley, where as I would normally put the bike in the car and drive over.

I must make sure that I don't leave it so long between rides with the club in the future.

Yeah it was me after the tyres but the new version (Wiggle just got the 25mm back in stock, mine arrived today)
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/schwalbe-ultremo-zx-evolution-hd-folding-road-tyre/

not cheap but they're the best clinchers on the market (and yes that includes any tyre anyone mentions below as an alternative :p )

Hi Nick,

I was considering (for next time) Vittoria Open Corsa Evo or Open Pave Evo as they have had good reviews, but could be tempted by the ZX.

I suspect that BS could prove you wrong about the ZX being the best tyre, he tells me he gets pinch punctures with racing tyres, I gather he is back on the solid wooden tyres Very Happy
