If anyone would like to do a longer ride (to Cheddar for example) but can't fit one in midweek, how about this Sunday (6th September) either instead of or after the Cake Ride ? Something in the region of 80 miles, if doing instead of the Cake ride the start time can be as early as you like, if doing after the Cake Ride (and by that I mean doing the Cake Ride, having some cake and then carrying on the longer ride) the start time will obviously be 10 am.

If interested then let me know.

Instead of the Cake Ride or after the Cake Ride ? I forgot to say any alternative longer ride would be subject to the weather being half-decent.

No real preference either way beyond liking cake.

Weather forecast for Sunday is 'good' indeed almost 'quite pleasant' so it's a trip to Cheddar and Weston for me and anyone else who cares to join me, you will be most welcome. Distance is 85 miles with 4,600 ft of climbing. If, however, anyone has yet to do a century ride (in miles) I would be quite happy to tag an extra 15 miles onto the route. The pace will be modest and there will be stops in Cheddar and Yatton. Meet at Costa Bradley Stoke at 0900 hrs for a 0915 getaway. If an earlier start would be better, let me know.

I can join you for part of this ride - will have to head straight back from Cheddar. I'll meet you at Warmley station. What time do you think you'll be rolling through?
