As mentioned elsewhere.
Thoughts please.
Ie Distance,Start.etc.
As this might be an ideal ride for newcomers to give them an introduction to the club it might be better to start these off shortish and then build up.

I think you are very brave to even go in Ikea.I went in once and as there are no windows i lost all sense of direction and almost had a panic attack a member of staff had to show me the way out!

by rolling I meant UK style rolling .... not Alpine rolling that is
Dundry, Burrington, Cheddar :-)

Although I have a couple of routes out that way !!

Saturdays are almost as difficult for me as early starts on Sundays :-(

Would this split the club up even more if Saturday's started up I know that not everyone can make the Sunday rides but most people have the Sundays signed off with their partners etc. Would it be that we would continue the 2 Sunday rides? or would the occasional Saturday ride replace the Sunday ride on the weekends that the Saturday ride took place? Its not too much of a problem for me but just thinking about the others.

However I do like how you managed to get a coffee and cake mention in on the 2nd post

If there are people willing to lead then the ride could go ahead .... I can't
see how having rides both saturday and sunday can be anything but good - more
rides equals more choice which will in turn mean more bums out on saddles :-)

If I were to lead then it would be "South of the River" routes and starting
around midday ....

I tend to agree with the more choice the more chance we have of getting more riders out. In addition if the weather forcast is looking iffy for a Sunday you could perhaps switch to the Saturday ride.

Personally I will be sticking to Sunday rides as I play golf on Saturday mornings and I'm not sure I'd get away with golf and cycling in one day!

Hi

I'd been interested in Saturday rides as it gives me sunday to get over it before i cycling to work! I think having a choice of a saturday or sunday rides would be good. I cant do this weekend but am free most weekends after the bank holiday so will keep an eye on the forum for the next rides.

wasssssup, is there going to be a saturday ride (this saturday the 3rd). it's the last weekend before i return to school, so i'd really like to go on a nice long ride (may well be the last ride of the year for me) before the bane of homework and (for want of a better phrase -->) parental curfews set in. *sigh*
