| Glad to hear that Luke. Hear's the route and it does have a fair bit of climbing, 1,132 m over a distance of 81 km. There's a hill at km 45 that I don't think we've had the pleasure of yet. It's 2 km long, it ascends 120 m, has an average gradient of 5% and a max of 10%. RWGPS says it's a Cat 4. It comes after our scheduled lunch break at the bike centre cafe in Parkend so I recommend that everyone fuels up on one of the cafe's splendid pasties https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19427425 |

if you remember going back a couple of years we rode over to the start of the Lump Scrumpy and the road to Parkend was closed, We used that as part of the diversion. As John says "ooo - interesting" I'd just say F#####G steep and bad surface to boot. Enjoy!!! |

| I do remember being diverted but my selective amnesia (a common cyclists condition) has erased my memory of the painful bit. Would it be as "interesting" as the Gospel Pass climb from Hay ? Ah well, pain is just fear leaving the body, as they seem to say in the southern hemisphere. |
