Steve is taking you that want to to Shirenewton over the bridge to the land of my Fathers.Route to follow. He is going to start@ normal starting point and time and collecting those that want to join in at the Severn Bridge 30/40 mins later.
You can park in Passage road with no problems if you so wish.
The Landlady at the pub in Shirenewton did us very proud last time with huge bacon butties and coffee for a very resonable price so with luck sme again I will ring her in the week to confirm.

See separate post for the Number Two ride.Yes!there will be two rides next Sunday.Oh! It's almost to much for an old man like me to take.

55km doesn't sound like much? Without wishing to over-complicate things could easily extend it by going via Easter Compton on the way out, would add another 3 or 4 miles I guess. Mind you if it's icy I might not be out :p

The stretch back to Tesco adds about 15km making 70km in total. If anyone wants more they could always do a few laps of the car park.

Pub at Shirenewton Booked. Bacon sarnies/plate of chips and coffee.
It was very good last time. One very small thing bike parking is outside so if anyone remembers a lock or two would be mind easing.

I have enough problems on the hills without carrying a lock :p

And I'd recommend a jersey with long sleeves this time!

I bet Andy doesn't have leg warmers on.
Darren sounds like a long sleeved ball gown then............!
As I am so slow on the hills I will take a couple of locks just need someone to remind me.

I'm bitterly disappointed that I'm going to have to pull out for a while - a recurrence of a back problem that's plagued me on and off for about 40 years Crying or Very sad .

... but I'll be back riding just as soon as I can.

    Icy Roads - No Thanks

Post  Gary on Sat Feb 04, 2012 3:11 pm

The latest weather forecast has the snow that's currently falling in our region turning to rain and then freezing so the roads and paths will be "trecherous" tomorrow morning. Not ideal conditions for four wheels let alone two so, call me a wimp if you like, but I'm not coming out to play tomorrow. Crying or Very sad
